The second option we offer at Smoke Rise Family, Implants, and
Cosmetic Dentistry is dental bridges/partial dentures. There are several options for dental bridges: cantilever bridges,
bonded bridges, and fixed bridges. While these are long-lasting, they are not permanent. At some point, you will need to come back to have the bridge replaced, which increases the overall cost of care.
Partial dentures are a lot like bridges and since they are removable, they require more care. They may affect your speech and are likely to be uncomfortable to begin with, but you will get used to them over time.
Your teeth are needed to provide strength and structure to your jaw. If you are missing a tooth, the bone in that area will begin to recede, as well as your gums. Bridges and partial dentures don't replace the roots like an implant does and will not prevent receding gums.
